Diana + Shane: You're the 1

A windy day on the shores of Lake Ontario calls for an engagement session, right? I met up with Shane and Diana for their stylish shoot a few weeks back at Fifty Point Conservation Area and I really wanted to share the art we made today so that Diana's fam and friends could see all the way back home in Alberta! Wedding next year, can't wait!

Tyler + Erika: You're the 1

I met up with Erika and Tyler, who plan to be married next May, in Port Dalhousie a few Saturdays ago. It was a busy place with lots and lots of people just enjoying the sunshine, so it was going to be a bit of a challenge to try to get some "alone" shots and to keep people from being in the background. Challenge accepted! We started out by the carousel, then made our way down to the beach and along the water. With both of them being dressed so well, they probably commanded respect and space. Haha! I think people tried to just give us space to do our thing.

In the end of it all, with a lot of shooting in direct sunlight, I was able to nail down alot of simple minimalistic shots that really made this couple pop. Erika is a beauty, and Tyler is the best non-smiler I have ever worked with. It made for some great flicks, and a neat GIF at the end of the shoot. Fun stuff!

Come take a stroll, its a great late afternoon for a walk along the water!

Jake + Michelle: You're the 1

Jake and Michelle are awesome. And completely in love. You can tell immediately.

I could stop there with there, but I won't. When organizing this engagement shoot, we had origianally planned to have a campfire theme down on a beach with roasting marshmallows and the whole bit, ( her idea, so awesome! )but the rain in May kept delaying us. After a scare again of rain on this night, we decided to give a coffee shop theme a go and it was a good decision. We met in downtown St. Kitts and had a blast on a side street before going in for a cup of coffee, then found a great alley way to try some dramatic backlit flash stuff.

Great fun with these two and I can't wait to shoot their big day in August!.

Make sure to peak at the last shot here. It was fun to do a 'gif-ified" eshoot!
